Omar Yousef Shehabi is a lawyer and law professor. He is currently a visiting professor at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and a doctoral candidate at Yale Law School. Omar’s research interests include international labor law, law’s regulation of nationalist claims, the history and historiography of human rights, and the law of war and peace. Omar most recently worked as an acting assistant professor at New York University School of Law. Previously, he was a legal officer with UNRWA, the UN agency for Palestine refugees, a legal officer with the United Nations Secretariat, and a legal advisor to the Palestinian negotiating team in permanent-status negotiations with Israel.
