For the second episode of the Internationalist’s new season, Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla speaks to Palestinian activist, academic and Progressive International Council member Yara Hawari about the illegal occupation of Palestine,  the “Save Sheikh Jarrah” movement and whether this summer’s protests are different to resistance efforts that came before.

Our second season will consist of 10 episodes, showing every Friday at 1900 CEST between the 17th of September and the 19th of November, bringing you news from the front of our struggles, connecting across territories and oceans, nations, and generations. Last week, for our new season’s inaugural episode, Srećko Horvat spoke to Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello about the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and the 10th anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, the importance of internationalism and the power of music. You can watch the show here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p03Uk...

This week, After a regular update on the activities of the Progressive International and struggles across the world by our own David Adler and Varsha Gandikota-Nellutla, we will welcome Progressive International council member and Palestinian activist Yara Hawari.
