May Seikaly is Professor Emerita of Arabic at Wayne State University. Her work has focused on the social history of Arab society, specifically Palestinian and Arabian Gulf societies. She has been deeply involved in collecting and archiving Palestinian memory through recording, archiving, and historicizing oral collections. Her published works include Haifa: Transformation of an Arab Society (I.B. Tauris) and The Silent Revolution: The Arab Spring and the Gulf States (Gerlach Press). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University.
