In times of profound devastation such as these, we take heart in knowing that our work is needed more than ever before. Al-Shabaka serves as a vital hub of Palestinian knowledge, analysis, and expertise for organizers, media, and policymakers alike. At our core, we are a think tank for the movement; our aim is to provide space for Palestinians to convene and strategize, and to produce Palestinian analysis that informs the frameworks of mobilizing efforts across the globe.
With this mission in mind, we are pleased to announce the release of our new visual identity and website—the culmination of a seven month-long process to better align our organizational branding with our revised institutional language, released in January 2023.
In particular, we sought a visual identity that speaks to how Al-Shabaka has evolved since its founding in 2009, as well as our confidence in who we are as an organization today: a Palestinian-centered, movement-based think tank, rooted in a commitment to liberation.
To accompany our new branding, we sought a functional and bold website that streamlines usability. Visitors can now navigate the rich archive of our work with ease by topic or type; they can also browse our diverse network of Palestinian analysts by name, location, and area of expertise.
Importantly, our work is only as impactful as it is useful to the movement. In addition to spotlighting some of our foundational works for easy access, we’ve dedicated space on the website for readers to carry our analysis forward, by connecting with other key groups in the ecosystem struggling for Palestinian liberation.
We are immensely proud of our new visual identity and website, and extend our deepest gratitude to the team at Brave Factor, who shepherded us through this process with creativity and patience. We hope that you find the results of our efforts to be accessible, engaging, and thought provoking, and welcome your feedback at [email protected].
As always, we thank you for your continued readership and commitment to Palestinian liberation.
In struggle, solidarity, and hope,
The Al-Shabaka Team
