Thayer Hastings is a Changemaker Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of International Service at American University. He holds a PhD in Cultural Anthropology from the CUNY Graduate Center and an MA from Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies. His research is informed by a commitment to community-led initiatives and decolonizing methodologies, and he has previously worked with the American Friends Service Committee and the Rachel Corrie Foundation for Peace and Justice.
