Nadine Naber is director and professor of Gender and Women’s Studies and Global Asian Studies at the University of Illinois Chicago, and co-founder of the university’s Arab American Cultural Center. Her work addresses feminism and racial justice for Arab and Muslim Americans, feminism in the MENA region, and reproductive and gender justice. She is author or co-editor of five books, including Arab America: Gender, Cultural Politics and Activism, Arab and Arab American Feminisms, and The Color of Violence. She also co-founded the Arab and Muslim American Studies Program at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
